The brigade acquired three pump hydraulic platforms, starting with this 1968 ex-demonstrator ERF 84PFS / HCB-Angus / Simon SS50, registered UFD 342G and first allocated to Thames-side. It was moved to Dartford when a new station able to accommodate it was opened in 1975.

 

This 1970 Dennis F45 / Simon SS50, WKK 964J, was first stationed at Medway and later transferred to Dartford to replace the ERF.

 

In 1972 the third pump hydraulic platform was acquired and initially allocated to Canterbury. It was this Dennis F49 / Simon SS50, FKN 291L, later transferred to Thames-side.
