Link to Oxfordshire FRS

This Volvo FL6.14 / Excalibur water tender ladder (R499 YRP) was new when pictured at Rewley Road, Oxford, in 1998. Excalibur SV went into receivership and ceased trading in August 2004.

Oxfordshire machines were, and still are,  almost exclusively built on Volvo chassis. This rescue tender (M656 TWL) at Kidlington in 1998 was built by Excalibur on a Volvo FL6.14 chassis in 1995.

Rewley Road’s aerial appliance was a Volvo FL10 / Angloco / Bronto 28.2T1 with a 2,273 l/min (500gpm) pump new in 1990 and registered G775 UBW.
