The Dennis Sabres above are to be replaced by 2012 Scania R360 / Emergency-One (UK) specialist rescue units which carry a fully inflated rescue boat in the top compartment. This is FJ61 KRE, photographed at Highfields.

Nottinghamshire's specialist rescue team responds to road accidents involving large vehicles or multiple vehicles as well as dealing with water rescue, rope rescue from height, animal rescue and rescue from confined spaces.

Until new specialist rescue units (see below) are put on the run in 2012, two Dennis Sabre / John Dennis Coachbuilders rescue tenders are being used. S360 ATO is based at Highfields, Nottingham to cover the south of the county.

S362 ATO is based at Tuxford to cover the north of the county.

In addition to the main rescue tender, each station has a rapid response unit (RRU) carrying an initial response level of equipment.

Tuxford's RRU is this 2008 Ford Ranger, FJ08 ZBC
