Another Bedford TK / HCB-Angus new to Hastings was this 1968 emergency salvage tender, GDY 420F

 

The Bedford TK, in production from 1960 to 1984, was a popular chassis for fire engines. This 1966 HCB-Angus pump escape (EDY 27D) served at Hastings and is seen soon after being absorbed into East Sussex Fire Brigade.

 

This  AEC Mercury / Merryweather turntable ladder, GDY 99F, was also new to the county borough brigade in 1968 and transferred to East Sussex on local government reorganisation in 1974.
