Firefighting in Wiltshire is published to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the formation of the Wiltshire Fire Brigade, but it is also a pictorial record of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century brigades and the private, industrial and military units which have provided valuable services in protecting life and property.

Rod Priddle has had thirty years' experience with Bristol and Wiltshire local authority fire brigades, and spent four years with the British Rail Fire Department. He was also curator of the Wiltshire Fire Brigade Museum
