In 1969 two Bedford TK / HCB-Angus emergency tenders were commissioned for Folkestone and Maidstone. Two more were allocated to Canterbury and Thames-side the following year. This is RKE 699G at Maidstone.

The Bedford TK chassis was also adopted for two foam tenders built by Keam of Whitstable in 1971. VKT 649J, seen here, was stationed at Strood while VKT 648J was initially allocated to Canterbury and later moved to Dover.

Yet another use of the TK chassis was for two 1971 hose layers built by Keam of Whitstable. This one, WKT 647J, was allocated to Strood and WKT 646J went to Sittingbourne.
