1958 AEC Mercury / Merryweather 100ft turntable ladder pump, PRX 62, seen at Caversham Road fire station, Reading, in June 1974.

 

Reading’s Dee Road (Tilehurst) fire station operated this 1961 AEC Mercury / Carmichael special unit, XJB 999, which combined the functions of an emergency/salvage tender and control unit. It was photographed at Dee Road, Reading in 1974.

 

By 1976 the stucco aluminium bodywork had been painted red.
