Reading’s 1972 Dodge K1050 / Bates / Holmes breakdown lorry/emergency tender, GTG 642K, was captured on film in September 1976 at the Berkshire fire engine rally, Theale.

 

This 1972 Dodge / Carmichael / Wibe Orbitor 72ft hydraulic platform was on the run at Reading’s Caversham Road fire station in June 1974. There were only seven examples of this Swedish-built platform in service in the UK, plus one 50ft model.

 

This 1976 Dodge / HCB-Angus / Simon SS50 pump hydraulic platform was on the run at Slough when photographed at the Theale rally in 1976.
