The fireground can be plotted, and resources managed, on whiteboards in the main incident command unit

 

As the exercise progressed the command support unit was relocated close to the incident command unit. Note the dish for satellite communication.

 

 

Modern technology allows the incident commander and his staff to view mapping and other details on screens viewable from both inside and outside the vehicle.
