Sittingbourne's 2003 Dennis Sabre ML / John Dennis Coachbuilders rescue pump ladder, GK93 OWR, was mobilised as support pump for the incident command unit.

Kent's incident command unit is based at Sittingbourne and comprises a demountable body supplied by Keyway Commercials in 1987. It is transported by a 2002 Scania P94-260 6x2 / Powell Duffryn Multilift prime mover, Y385 CKM.

The ICU was set up on hardstanding about 150 metres from the castle gatehouse.

The crew prepares to inflate the air shelter which provides extra covered accommodation for command activities.

The command unit is established and operational.
