In 1958 Surrey Fire Brigade designed and built the first of three foam/salvage tenders on the Austin FE chassis. They carried 200gals of foam compound and one large and two smaller foam branches. For salvage work they carried equipment such as tarpaulins, nails, sawdust, brooms, squeegees and other items to assist in reducing the damage done by water and smoke during and after a fire.

79 GPK was stationed at Epsom.

92 SPK was one of 21 Dennis F24 appliances bought by Surrey Fire Brigade between 1957 and 1962. New  in 1960, it was photographed at Reigate as part of the reserve fleet in 1978.

This is 95 SPK, seen at Training School, Reigate, in 1978.
