2003 saw a move away from Volvo appliances with the acquisition of the first Dennis Sabre ML / Excalibur. NJ03 BGZ is seen here at Blyth.

NK53 PZB was photographed before going on the run at Cramlington in 2004. Unfortunately Excalibur SV of Burslem, Staffordshire, builders of all three appliances on this page, went into receivership and ceased trading in August 2004.

Also new in 2003 was Dennis Sabre ML / Excalibur (N53 VKF) photographed at Morpeth in 2004.
