The Unipower 6x6 / Carmichael major foam vehicle (MFV) was introduced in 1998. It is powered by a Detroit Diesel and carries 1,500 gallons of water and 180 gallons of foam.

 

The latest 4x4 rapid intervention vehicle (RIV) was developed by Simon Gloster Saro and two prototypes were built before the company ceased trading. Production models are built by Alvis Unipower and the first entered service in 1999.

 

The Defence Fire Service operates 29 Volvo FLH-220 / Saxon Volumax water tender ladders, including six left-hand drive models, for use as domestic pumps.
